Maguito Vilela morre aos 71 anos no Hospital Albert Einstein

Prefeito licenciado de Goiânia, Maguito Vilela, de 71 anos, não resistiu à infecção pulmonar contraída após ter Covid-19.

O político estava internado desde o final de outubro no Hospital Albert Einstein, em São Paulo, e venceu a disputa pela Prefeitura dê Goiânia enquanto lutava contra a doença.

Advogado por formação, Maguito começou a carreira política como vereador. Depois foi deputado, governador de Goiás, senador e prefeito de Aparecida de Goiânia.

Nas redes sociais de Maguito, a assessoria de imprensa informa que o traslado do corpo está sendo providenciado. O sepultamento deve ocorrer em Jataí, cidade natal do prefeito.
